Good Neighbours Newsletter – December 2007

Hi Everyone,

HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE GOOD NEIGHBOURS FROM ALL THE HELPERS!!!

It seems a long time ago now but we had a lovely evening at the Ladies Club Halloween Party.
The food and entertainment are always good and we really appreciate the invitation we get every year.
Thank you to all the Ladies Club.

We had Mass for all the deceased members of our group in November and it was very well attended.
Tt is good to remember those who are no longer with us at times.

We went Christmas Shopping in the Pavilions at the end of November.
There was great spending and lots of strange shaped parcels on the way home!
Hope you got everything you wanted.

The highlight of the season was our New Style Christmas Party last Sunday.
It was a big change to have it in the Marine Hotel but a good one we think.
What do you think? We’d like to know.
It was so good to arrive in to the beautifully decorated room and enjoy a lovely well cooked meal in good company.
The raffle went well and again everyone got a prize (thanks to all the kind donors).
The entertainment was great thanks to our musician Tony and singer Mary, our own Frances and especially to Liz for her great songs and to our guest Rachel Brew for her very funny poem.

Now our next Coffee Morning will be Christmas week 20th December and will be a very special one so be sure and come along and join the fun.
We will be back in action on January 3rd with the usual Coffee Morning to hear how everyone enjoyed Christmas.

We will have our Annual Ecumenical Service on February 4th at 2.30pm so that is a date for your diary.

We hope that you all have a lovely Christmas with family and friends and that Santa Claus will be good to everyone!
Don’t forget if you have problems and need assistance ring any of us and we will do our best to help.

The Helpers.
